Project Information

Following a Stop Notice by the Local Authority Enforcement Team on an active construction site, Tree Care Company were instructed to firstly assess the damage and then undertake the necessary mitigation work. The trees on site had not been adequately protected in accordance with BS5837 ‘Trees in relation to construction’, leaving their rooting areas exposed to construction traffic. This ultimately caused soil compaction.

Tree Care Company completed a site investigation and provided to the findings to the local authority planning department. The mitigation work was then undertaken including extensive Airspade work to alleviate soil decompaction and the introduction of nutrient rich compost the soil desperately needed.

Project Challenge

The work was completed under the supervision of the Local Authority Tree Officer who required a fast solution to rectify the issues. The Local Authority Tree Officer was extremely happy with the fast, yet accurate nature the work which Tree Care Company delivered.
